The annual Online Teaching Conference 2016 (OTC16) will take place on June 15–17, 2016 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The annual conference, which began nearly 15 years ago as an online-only event, is geared toward California Community Colleges (CCC) faculty, staff and administrators who are engaged or interested in online education, including delivery of online services such as student, faculty, library and technical support. More than 700 attendees from across the United States are expected to attend.
“Online education is growing at a very fast pace with teachers as well as students. The need to provide a way for more students to receive quality courses and obtain certificates and degrees is important,” said Tiffiny Hickey, Web Analyst for TTIP South Projects at Palomar College and OTC16 Coordinator. She also noted that the conference is a great opportunity for educators to spend two or three days with other professionals and “share knowledge, impart and receive best practices, and learn from other’s experiences.”
Conference registration opened on November 30, 2015. Pricing structure: Early Bird: $225 (Nov. 30, 2015 — April 15, 2016); General: $275 (April 16 — June 8, 2016); On-site: $350 (June 8 — conference).
